This event – for payroll professionals only and via an invitation-only audience – is an opportunity to network and talk all things payroll, as well as FPL! Join our two businesses for an evening of fun at The Refinery in London.

Meet the speakers:

Simon Puryer, Executive Director - Head of Payroll, LACE

Simon joined LACE in May 2023 to establish and lead the Payroll Practice. With an extensive background in Consulting, Simon has delivered significant Payroll software implementation programmes within multiple clients whilst also helping businesses maximise their existing Payroll set-up. As well as Payroll, Simon has extensive experience in Retail, leading and delivering complex transformational change projects, realising benefits, minimising costs and helping businesses to succeed. Simon is also passionate about customer experience and satisfaction with a focus on people at the heart of all organisations.

Simon Bunday, Director, LACE

Simon joined LACE Partners in October 2024, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in payroll operations and implementation. Before LACE, he worked as part of the Payroll Advisory leadership team at Deloitte within their Payroll and Workforce Management Practice. Simon also previously held pivotal roles in the NHS and a major transport company, where he established a central shared service centre to manage and deliver high-volume, multi-frequency payrolls. With extensive expertise in both UK and global payroll consultancy, Simon has held senior implementation roles on various large scale projects and served as a Director Trustee for several pension schemes.

Julie Choudhury, Senior Manager, LACE

Julie is strategic and results-driven with over 20 years’ experience driving Payroll and HR transformation across private equity-backed and large-scale organisations, including Xeinadin, Pret A Manger, Cineworld and PayPoint. With deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable people systems, she has delivered impactful projects across Payroll, HRIS, benefits, and learning platforms. Julie is highly experienced in transitioning Payroll operations in-house, optimising systems and processes. She brings extensive knowledge in payroll, change management, regulatory compliance, and post-M&A integration, consistently delivering high retention and engagement outcomes. Her passion lies in delivering successful projects and working collaboratively.
