Life at LACE – LACErs’ Experience Workshop

“If you look after your staff, they’ll look after your customers, it’s that simple” – Richard Branson.

And you know what, I believe this.

It should be this simple but often companies, as they grow, lose the ability to stay focused on this simple principle. My mum always said to treat people the way you want to be treated and, let’s be honest, I may not listen to her all the time but this I believe to be true.

At LACE, we’re growing.

The end of our third year has been met with celebration, as well as reflection. With an ever-increasing team, being able to capture what makes us ‘fundamentally different’ is really important and this starts with our LACE team experience. How we treat our LACE people is critical to us being able to bring brilliance and innovation to our clients, consistently. Our people are what make us successful.

We held our first LACErs’ Experience Workshop in December. This was a perfect opportunity to get together, listen to feedback and understand what we do well and where we can improve. In true LACE spirit, it was met with a lot of laughter, some quirky games, including potatoes, and activities that required critical reflection on who we are and who we want to be.

Going into 2018, we now have a clearer understanding of what our people value and where we can work together to strengthen our fundamentally different workplace.

2018 is going to be epic.
