Leading through change: Strategies and support

The LACE team and the South West London branch of the CIPD to explored how change management frameworks can support organisations in leading change effectively.

Change is a natural part of business growth; it helps organisations adapt to new technology, like AI, and stay competitive in a fast-moving world. But today’s pace of change, driven by digital disruption and socioeconomic shifts, is greater than ever.

In this 45-minute interactive session, with Annette from our team (see the speaker section below), we will explore how change management frameworks can support organisations in leading change effectively, understanding emotional responses, and overcoming resistance.

We also looked at what effective change leaders do well, with real-life lessons from global change initiatives.

Some of the key challenges we tackled included:

    • How change management methodologies and frameworks can support organisations in how they think, communicate and engage with their people throughout the change journey.
    • How change impact us all emotionally and what challenges and resistance it causes for organisations wanting to drive change.
    • The models that help us understand the emotional and psychological reactions to change.
    • The key behaviours of effective change leaders and how to equip them to lead change confidently and effectively from the front.
